Meet the Owners
Founded in 1927 by Andy Friedman, Camp Robin Hood was later passed on to his son Drew, who then passed the torch to former Robin Hood camper and counselor John Klein.
Robin Hood's tradition of strong leadership continues into its fourth generation. Today the camp is under the direction of a former camper, counselor, group leader and green-team staff-captain.
ADREAM HAS COME TRUE. At
age 10, David Cole began his life at Camp Robin Hood, and from his first day he knew he would never want to leave. So it is with great pleasure that today David and his wife Jamie serve as both owners and directors of Robin Hood. Rounding out the investment team are David Solomon (Sol) and Richard Woodstein (Woody). Sol was a Robin Hood camper and counselor for many years, and in 1979 was David's counselor. Likewise, Woody spent many summers at The Realm, and his close relationship with Sol and David dates back many years.
GET TO KNOW US. David graduated from the University of Colorado, earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University and has spent his professional career in both the legal and real estate fields. Jamie earned a degree in Communications from Miami University. She was a marketing manager for sports and entertainment company, International Management Group (IMG), and was director of communications for child welfare agency Bellefaire Jewish Children's Bureau.
Like you, Jamie and David are parents first. Their daughters Lauren and Elizabeth provide the couple with an unlimited source of inspiration. "What we want for our campers is what we want for our own children; for them to have experiences that will shape their character, build self-esteem and develop friendships that will enrich their lives," Jamie Cole.
WE BELIEVE. From founder Andy to current owners/directors Jamie and David, the culture, traditions and values of Camp Robin Hood remain strong: Robin Hood offers an environment where campers develop lifelong friendships and memories, and are exposed to new activities in a safe and nurturing environment. Each summer, campers are challenged to try new activities and improve existing interests and talents. Summers are for making new friends, strengthening bonds with old friends, fostering independence and bolstering self-esteem.
