Meet the 2007 Health Center Staff

Arash Babaoff
Doctor
Arash Babaoff is a pediatrician who works in the Emergency
Department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Arash
has been at the Children's Hospital for almost 13 years. He started
working at camp in his college years back in Michigan where he grew
up. Arash has rarely had a year without camp since, in one
capacity or another. Arash volunteers a portion of each year doing
volunteer work on medical missions abroad with Operation Smile.
His sports interests include running and ultimate frisbee among
others. “I am really looking forward to my first year as the
pediatrician at Camp Robin Hood!” |

Michelle Costa
Medical Trainer
Michelle was born and grew up in Tewksbury, MA. She graduated
from Merrimack College in 1997 with a Bachelor in Sports Medicine,
and has worked as the Athletic Trainer for Tewksbury High
School for 9 years. Michelle has a 13-year-old son who keeps
her busy with hockey, lacrosse, and baseball. In her spare
time, Michelle enjoys reading and going to the gym. |

Lori Jacobsohn, RN
Nurse
Lori was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. She attended Syracuse
University and received a BSN in nursing in 1981. Upon graduation,
Lori moved to Boston where she has resided ever since. She completed
a Master's Degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing in 1987.
Currently, Lorrie is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist in the ED
at Massachusetts General Hospital and on the Utilization Review Board
at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA. Lorrie is married and raising
three
boys ages 16, 13 and 11. She is very active in the local community as
a volunteer for non-profit charitable organizations and the schools.
Lorrie enjoys quilting, reading, music and various athletic activities
i.e. yoga, running, skiing, swimming and recently, tennis. This will
be Lori’s 4th year in the Infirmary at Robin Hood. Lori shares,
"The best part about camp is getting to know the campers and staff." |

Bonnie Mitchell
Nurse
Bonnie is new to Camp Robin Hood this year and is very excited about
spending the summer months with all the campers. Bonnie has
lived in Illinois most of her life, but went to high school and
college in Pennsylvania, where she was a Technical Theater and
Business major. She decided to change careers from business to
nursing five years ago. Bonnie graduated from College of
Lake County's Nursing Program in May 2006, and has since been
working as an RN at a local hospital in Libertyville,
Illinois in the Emergency Department. Bonnie received her
ACLS and PALS certifications and has experience as an EMT-B and
firefighter. |

Gail Ratko

John Ratko, RN
Nurse
John is a lifelong resident of the Homewood-Flossmoor, Illinois (an
area in southern suburban Chicago). John earned a Bachelor of Science
of Nursing Degree from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois in
1986. His career has centered on Emergency Services - in and out of
hospitals. John has been a member of Flossmoor Volunteer Fire
Department since July 1976 and has been a paramedic for over 28 years,
holding the rank of Lieutenant with the department. John has earned
multiple fire service certifications. As a nurse, he has focused on
emergency nursing and has served as EMS/Trauma Nurse Coordinator at
Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale Illinois, and was the manager of a very
busy ED in Harvey, Illinois. John is married with 4 children - two
boys and two girls – and his two youngest are first-time Robin Hood
campers. John shares "I LOVE to camp, the beach, water sports,
fishing, boating and riding dirt bikes with the boys at grandma’s
summer home on the shores of Lake Michigan." |

Donna Singerman
Nurse/Girls' Camp Supervisor
Donna Singerman is an RN, BSN and has her JD. She
has been a nurse for 15 years at the Cleveland Clinic, specializing
in cardiac intensive care and organ transplant. Donna has two
children, Alec age 14 and Jordyn age 12. She enjoys being
active with her kids’ activities, exercising, skiing, being in the
outdoors and gardening. Donna looks forward to spending her third
year at Camp Robin Hood. |
