2010 Leadership Team

Founded in 1927 by Andy Friedman, Camp Robin Hood was later passed on to his son Drew, who then passed the torch to former Robin Hood camper and counselor John Klein.  Robin Hood's tradition of strong leadership continues into its fourth generation. Today the camp is under the direction of a former camper, counselor, group leader and green-team staff-captain.

David's wife Jamie spent five years loving overnight camp in Minnesota, and later went on to earn her degree in Communications from Miami University. Jamie has worked in advertising, sports marketing and child welfare. Jamie and David's favorite roles are as parents to their children Lauren and Elizabeth.

David – better known at The Realm as "Sol" - started as a Pager in 1970 and spent 13 of the next 14 summers at RH as a camper and counselor. Sol grew up in the New York area and currently resides in Manhattan with his wife Mary and daughters Katie and Carrie. Sol has a BA from Hamilton College and has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years.
Richard Woodstein

Woody grew up in New Jersey and attended Boston University where he had a double major in Business Administration and Finance. These skills were put to test when Woody traded Index Options at the Chicago Board of Options for fourteen years. In 2001, Woody moved to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and currently trades Euro Dollar Options. As an investor in Robin Hood, Woody leaves the craziness of the pits every summer and escapes to The Realm to assist the administration and staff in insuring that all campers have a great experience. Woody’s two sons, David and Aaron, and his daughter Sarah have attended Camp Robin Hood.

Chuck Illig
Head Counselor
This will be Chuck's 45th summer at Robin Hood. Living in the off-season just 20 minutes from The Realm, he lives and breathes it all year long! Chuck takes great pride in watching our campers grow through the camper ranks, joining the staff as counselors and eventually earning spots as Group Leaders or Department Heads. This he feels is what RH is all about. Chuck's two favorite times during the summer are Parents Visiting and G&W where many of our alumni return and Chuck can relive their RH experiences with them. But most all, Chuck looks forward to opening day!
