First off, I hope you, your family and loved ones are safe and healthy. The chances you know someone who has been affected by COVID-19 is increasing daily and my heart goes out to you and your families. It’s an uncertain time for everyone, and as parents, we all want to protect our children’s physical and mental health. With two young children and a college student at home now, I know juggling virtual school work plus explaining why they can’t be with friends is emotionally draining. To that end, it is always helpful to have something for kids to look forward to.
I know you have expressed an interest in having your child attend camp in the past, and while this may not be top of mind at the moment, it could provide your child and your family with some much-needed hope. At this time we are waiving all deposits and financial commitments for new enrollments. Limited space is available in groups. We hope this no risk enrollment period will give you peace of mind that your child will have a safe place to spend the summer with peers. We will all hopefully know more about this ever-changing health crisis in a few weeks and its impact on camp.
For 93 years, thousands of kids have looked forward to a fun, exciting and memorable summer experience at Camp Robin Hood, and we are cautiously optimistic that we will continue that tradition. We are currently adding new outdoor adventure programs and expanding our procedures to ensure the health and well-being of our campers and staff.
With that said, safety is our number one priority, and we will only open if we are absolutely certain that we can provide the necessary environment to meet today’s challenges. Please visit our website at www.camprobinhood.com, for updates regarding summer 2020 and where children can find some fun interactive activities that they can do at home while learning about our Robin Hood traditions and values. You can also find info on our Instagram, Facebookand blog.
