Still on a high from yesterday’s Parents Visiting Day, what a magical experience it was! We’re incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to meet all of our campers’ families, and we hope you enjoyed the day just as much as we did.

The spirit of Andy kept the rain at bay, giving us beautiful weather that allowed everyone to enjoy the activities to the fullest.

The afternoon smoothly returned to normal with the rain giving us a chance to tell stories from the day or run around singing loudly on the fields.

As we said goodbye to our 4-weekers today, we hope they’ve had an unforgettable summer here in the Realm. To everyone still here, get ready for the best three weeks yet!

The World Cup took centre stage today as we gathered to celebrate the final between Spain and Argentina. Everywhere we looked, Spain was proudly represented, and the excitement was contagious. Following their victory, everyone was on a high as the celebrations continued throughout the day.

The excitement for excursions kicked off in spectacular fashion, with the dining hall erupting in cheers as Woody announced that nine groups will be heading out tomorrow.

The Scribes and Saxons will be setting off bright and early for their multi-day excursion—what surprises await them? The Friars will follow for their three-day white-water rafting adventure, while all of Junior Camp heads out for fun-filled days at the theme park or water park.

As another fantastic day comes to a close, it’s time to rest up for tomorrow.

The energy here at Camp Robin Hood has been absolutely electric! From early-morning bugle calls to late-night campfires, we have been going nonstop. Whether our campers are scoring touchdowns on the athletic fields, crafting masterpieces, or diving into the lake, they are embracing every single second of this wild, wonderful adventure.

But we aren’t just keeping busy—we are growing. Every day, camp challenges us to stretch our comfort zones, build lifelong friendships, and discover who we truly are.

The excitement is reaching a fever pitch tonight as we count down the hours to this Saturday. We cannot wait to welcome our incredible parents to the Realm for Parent Visiting Day (PVD)! Our campers are bursting with pride and eager to show you around their summer home.

Sweet Dreams from the Realm

The day started bright and early for the Shires and Scribes as they left in vans at 7:30am for Ogunquit Beach for their beach day, which they spent playing in the water and grabbing awesome food from the boardwalk. The 11u baseball team lost a nailbiter with a 2-1 outcome in favor of the other team. The Saxons canoed all the way to the Marina and beyond and ended up getting a grilled steak dinner followed by a long awaited trip to Walmart. The Friars and Bards also got to eat dinner in North Conway tonight. The Archers and Yeomen had an epic duel in the FNOO (for needs of others) Cup quarter finals. Both groups split up into two teams and we had two simultaneous games of Newcomb that came down to the wire. These games had a Green and White level intensity about them with every game being close but the Yeomen ended up winning with an aggregate score of 6 games to the Archer’s 3. Well fought on both sides. While the Yeomen and Archers were dueling it out, the TPs and Bows were enjoying some cold ice cream courtesy of Cozy Corner for various birthdays within the two groups. That’s all from the realm.

Hi parents! Today has been such a fun day here at the Realm, and I’m so excited to update you about all of it! 

First thing in the morning today, the Squires and Archers left camp to play mini golf, and they had such a great time! While those two groups were out of camp, we hosted a Under 12 baseball play date against Camp Birchmont, where although we lost 1-0, the defense, energy, and spirit our team showed could not have been better. It was an old fashioned game, and for those of us who like defense and pitching, this game was absolutely fantastic. 

On the other side of camp, we had a mini green and white taking place, featuring the bows, jesters, tumblers and scouts. The event was planned and executed by the scribes, who served as captains, judges, and counselors. This “mini green and white” featured the White Wings taking on the Green Spirit, and the goal of it was to provide oir youngest girl campers with a chance to experience what will follow later on in the summer. Our mini green and white featured activities (such as 9 square, gaga, and bombardment), dance battles, and crafts, where each time got a chance to make a flag. At lunch, we had a silent meal, inspection, and trivia, all things that actually happen during green and white later on in the summer! The event was a huge success, and by a thirteen point margin, the White Wings came out as victorious. 

Staying on girls camp, we had not one, but two pontoon trips to the main lake today, as the Shires got to go in the morning, and the jesters in the afternoon! Both groups of girls told me that they had so much fun and want to go again!

In the afternoon, we had one our favorite camp traditions take place, namely, the Mainers game. The Yeoman, Lancers, Friars, Quills, Arrows, and Bards all got the chance to take the trip up to Sanford and watch a double header take place. The groups got to eat pizza, candy, popcorn, and more as they watched the game with great enthusiasm. 

Lastly, for evening activity tonight, we had a great time watching our junior campers partake in the JC talent show! We saw a variety of different acts from dances to Taylor Swift songs, comedy routines, unique talents, and so much more! It was great to see some of our youngest campers with so much energy, confidence, and enthusiasm, as they performed their acts in front of the whole camp. Of course, after every all camp event, we sang the goodnight song, and everyone went back to get some rest for what is sure to be another jam packed day tomorrow.

I can’t believe it’s Sunday already! and just six days until PVD! It’s that time again for one of our sweetest camp traditions—Sundae Sundays with some new flavors which were a big success – cookie dough and brownie batter

Today was another wonderful day at camp, filled with adventure, tradition, and unforgettable memories. Scouts and Tumblers headed out to the main lake on the pontoons, taking in the beautiful views and sharing plenty of laughter with friends.
We also had more games of our FNOO Challenge Cup, where groups competed against each other in sports, representing a charity of their choice. Today, the Shires beat the Arrows in nitro ball and the Friars beat the Squires in 9 Square. Both games were incredibly close and ended in a 2-1 split for the victors.

In boys camp, we saw some great evening activities, with one challenge where the squires played the archers in dizzy kickball, and the squires won by one run! It was a great game.
Where as in girls camp, after a week of thoughtful notes, small surprises, and secret acts of kindness, our girls gathered once again at the waterfront for the much-anticipated Secret Summer Sister Reveal. The excitement was contagious as campers finally discovered who had been their Secret Summer Sister all week.
As the sun set on another incredible day, girls’ camp chants echoed across the lake, bringing a perfect close to the evening.

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
