Woodchuck July 4th

Happy Independence Day! Today marked the 250th birthday of the United States, and what a celebration it was here at Camp Robin Hood. From the moment our campers woke up, the Realm was a sea of red, white, and blue, and the excitement never slowed down.

A huge thank you goes to our Saxons and Scribes, who transformed the dining hall with incredible patriotic decorations. Breakfast was the perfect way to start the day, with delicious waffles topped with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and blueberries, setting the tone for a festive Fourth of July.

The morning was filled with our regular activities, giving campers the chance to enjoy everything they love about camp before everyone gathered together after lunch for one of the highlights of the day—our annual Fourth of July parade! Seeing every group dressed in their patriotic best, cheering each other on, and celebrating together was a wonderful reminder of the spirit that makes Camp Robin Hood so special.

After the parade, campers rotated through an afternoon packed with classic summer fun. The beach was transformed into a beach party, the Quad featured delicious ice cream generously sponsored by Cosy Corner, fortune tellers, and face painting, while the Barn became a carnival filled with games like Plinko and clown toss. Over at the Home Run Diamond, campers cooled off with our dunk tank, slip-and-slide, and sprinklers—much appreciated on a warm summer afternoon!

To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a carnival-style dinner before heading off to evening activities, ending another unforgettable day together in the Realm.

Goodnight from everyone here at Camp Robin
