It was the third day of our heat wave today and we battled back by sending the Squires, Archers, Lancers, Bows, and Arrows to watch the Minions Movie and Toy Story 5! Both movies got mixed reviews from our campers but leaning slightly positive.

Half of our Archers also competed in an 11u softball tournament and while they didn’t come out on top, they played extremely hard and made our camp proud.

But speaking of sporting events, there was a certain buzzing in the air all day. Tonight was Robin Hood vs West End, an age old rivalry spanning decades. We were the home team tonight and the entire camp dressed in white for our white out. Our Saxons, Scribes, and Shires made a ton of amazing signs to add to our home field advantage. Boy did we bring it home. The final score was 68-35 with standout performances from Leo Friedman (Forester) scoring 22 points and Allie Callahan (Friar) scoring 20 points. Quique Zubillaga (Forester) and Boomba Ladov (Friar) also had significant offensive impact hitting a couple threes a piece. The entire team played together and there wasn’t a single moment anyone in the crowd thought West End had a shot. Coach Marcus and Peter’s consistent practice schedule surely paid off. That’s all for now.
