Fenway Park

With 8 groups out on excursion, camp seems a little quiet today.

Here’s what happening:

The Squires and the Jesters left at 8:00am for Whales Tails waterpark. After they will have
dinner and see a movie in North Conway.

The Shires and the Foresters left at 7:00am for Boston. This morning they did a Duck Tour and
this afternoon they went to Fenway Park for a tour and plan to catch a game tomorrow.

The Bards left for Maine to go White Water rafting.
The Saxons and Scribes continue to have fun at the Cape. They went Whale watching yesterday
(and saw quite a few!) and are taking surfing lessons today!

Here at The Realm, the waterfront is busy on this beautiful sunny day! The Scouts and Tumblers
were jumping off the tower as the Lancers were on paddle boards, Kayaks, and canoes. The
hoops courts were busy along with the tennis and pickleball courts. It’s a hot one, but nothing
stops us.

Freshly back from the Forest Acres horse show, our stables crew and riders are back on the
saddle today! The girls came home with tons of ribbons and lots of 1st and 2nd places.

Wishing you a great night from CRH!

Excursions Begin

Today started early here for some of our Campers — the Saxons and Scribes left early at 6am on the Charter Bus for 3 days at Cape Cod — this bus is taking them on a set up tour. Today’s big event is Whale watch on a boat and then out to dinner. They will check-in to their hotel and be set for an exciting 3 days.

It was a regular breakfast for the rest of us after flag raising! In the Dining Hall some groups have moved their tables together so they can all sit together. With our 4 week campers gone there is a bit more space and also because of excursions out all week there are empty tables. Each meal is kind of neat as often our youngest campers LOVE sitting at the Saxon, Scribe tables!!

After breakfast the Lancers and Arrows left for their excursion — 1 day at Canterbury Lake Park, an amusement park with plenty of fun things to do and then dinner out and return to camp for a good night’s sleep.

Friars left on their 3-day excursion all planned ahead. The highlight of their trip being White Water Rafting at Crab Apple Park. They will get set up for the night and have a great dinner before their Rafting tomorrow.

All in all, 3 trips and more to come this week with every group being out. Younger groups have all 1-day adventures and back to camp to sleep here.

Now back at camp, we will have a regular day of activities and with 5 groups out, there will be more choices of activities for those here. Lots of Waterfront activities available. Kayak, Canone, Paddleboat, Waterskiing and of course Senior waterfront with the inflatables. Looking at today’s schedule, every group has at least 2 periods of Waterfront activities.

We have had a lot of rain this summer but looking ahead the next 2 weeks are all looking good for nice days. No rain and temperature in 70’s-80’s. That should get us into Color War which is coming!!! We are already hearing cheers in the Dining Hall for it and also cheers for so and so for Captain. The excitement is for sure building and we have been known to bring all excursion back early to break it. Stay tuned for more news on that.

Beautiful day here in the Realm!! As it is everyday, even on those rainy ones. We play through, NOTHING STOPS US!

PVD Tomorrow

Just like the night before Thanksgiving we are crazy busy and excited getting camp ready to host you tomorrow. The campers are cleaning up the bunks and my maintenance team has been painting every piece of wood in camp. We have planned everything out but can only pray as usual for sunny skies.

I hope you really enjoy the day here tomorrow. I remember my visiting days here with my sons being some of my best memories at the Realm. Be ready for all the emotions….
