Intercamp was the talk of the realm today, as Camp hosted not just one, but two boys basketball tournaments! Our 13 and under boys team fought hard, but unfortunately, they lost in the playoff round and ended up finishing in third. Our 15 and under team made a deep run into the tournament, and the whole camp came out to support them in the championship game on the upper court. Unfortunately, our team came up short, but it was still a successful day full of effort and great sportsmanship. In other intercamp news, we sent a small group of campers to an all ages archery tournament at Camp Kenwood Evergreen, where we finished in second as a team. In addition to inter camps games, we also had our first optional hike of the summer up Mount Chocorua, where our hikers of course got to stop at Cozy Corner before returning to camp for a delicious dinner of fried chicken and French fries. On camp, the FNOO charity challenge cup has reached the semi-finals, and we are in for a real showdown. The Quills beat the Bows in bombardment today to advance to the semifinals, where they will take on Scouts and Tumblers, who also today advanced after beating the Yeoman in an epic game of bocce. On the other side of the bracket are the Saxons, and Archers, who each won their games last night during evening activity. Lastly, both the Squires and Archers got to Pontoon today to the main lake, which was a much needed cool off during a hot day. We are so excited for more optional hikes, pontoon trips, beach day, and more, that are all coming up in the near future!
Thanks and take care,
