Today was a fantastic day at camp! With wonderful weather and consistent sunshine, campers and staff alike spent the day enjoying sports, activities, and strengthening new friendships.
Today’s tryouts for the Under-13, and Under-15 soccer teams kicked off. It’s so exciting to see campers give their best on the field, preparing to represent Robin Hood.
The Under-15 boys also hit the court for basketball practice, and the team has been picked as we prepare to face off against our rivals at West End House Camp. Congratulations to all the players who earned a spot on the team, and well done to everyone who participated.
We also took all group pictures this afternoon, and today was the first day of intensives. Campers got to pick from a variety of activities to a have a more focused session on a sport they wanted to improve in. They were such a great time!
Additionally, in one of our favorite traditions of the summer, both Boys’ and Girls’ Camp gathered for their first campfires of the summer. New campers were introduced, camp cheers were taught, and the Saxons and Scribes completed one of their first official duties as leaders of camp. At the Girls’ campfire, campers took time to write down their wishes and hopes for the summer, dropping them in the fire to seal the wish. Right before camp fires started, the campers got to enjoy one of their most favorite traditions of the summer, namely, Sunday Sundays!
Of course at the end of the night, the sunset was unmatched, and the day ended just as sweet as it started.
We can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
